Biography

I have been involved in Medical Informatics since 2011 at IRCCS Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital, initially as part of the hospital IT service, where I gained experience with health information systems, clinical data management, and the development of applications for the collection and analysis of oncology data.

Since 2012, I have been working in the Oncology Department, where I have expanded my academic training and professional skills in Data Science in a multidisciplinary role to:

  • Design and maintain custom software and applications for the collection, management, visualization, and analysis of oncological data to support clinical research.
  • Perform biostatistical analyses and implement Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods to extract insights from complex biomedical data and support predictive and exploratory modeling.
  • Develop applications for automated data extraction from medical records, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve efficiency and data quality.
